East Canyon

Memorial weekend we had the chance to go to East Canyon. Grandma and Papa Jackson got a condo up at the resort. It was a lot of fun. We played a lot of card games, went on nature walks and finally on our last night Ryan and I took Ryley fishing. Unfortunately Lawrynn was sick that day and the night before and we weren't able to bring her with us. We only caught one fish, well I caught one fish, but it was very nice and relaxing.

Barry is a soldier!

The middle of last month my brother, Barry, decided to join the Army. I really think that it is something that will be good for him, but it scares me half to death! Ryley really looks up to Uncle Barry. He absolutely loves him and so does Lawrynn. Barry plays so well with the kids and it is hard to see him go. I know it will make him a better man though! We love him and know that he will make an amazing soldier!
It has been really interesting getting letters from him and hearing what really goes on in boot camp. I would have never made it past the first hour!! I guess that is why I'm at home with my kids working in an office! He will definitely have some really neat experiences to keep with him for the rest of his life.

I love my kids!

Easter

Easter was a lot of fun for us. The Saturday before Easter we woke up early and went to Grandma and Papa Urry's house. They served us omelets and cinnamon rolls. After we ate Melissa and I went out to hide the eggs. It is fun being the Easter bunny for a change! I love to see the kids get excited about such simple things. Afterwards we took the kids out to search for eggs. Grandma hid numbers in the eggs and gave out prizes for each number that the kids found. How exciting for the kids! It was Lawrynn's first Easter but I think it's still a little bit too early for her to understand and to be excited about it.

On Sunday we went to Grandma and Papa Jackson's house. Ryan actually got to be with us that day (he had to work on Saturday). We had dinner and an Easter egg hunt. It's funny to see all the adults hunt for eggs with their little Easter baskets! We had a lot of fun!
